MEET THE ARTIST

Hi, my name is Christina Ritter. I am a Chester County Based artist and I prefer painting on canvas with acrylics. However, I frequently incorporate experimental techniques including mixed media because it allows me to expand my creative boundaries capturing the mood I am trying to express. It is very important for me to completely immerse myself in each painting. This allows me to completely be apart of the world I am creating, making way for experimenting during the process. This helps me create the landscape, still life, or fantasy world that nature so often portrays that can be difficult to capture. My creative journey started very early on; walking and creating art were one in the same. My bloodline is filled with creative people who consistently push and challenge my artistic ability to this day. The inspiration for my work comes from their encouragement and the beautiful natural world I was lucky enough to grow up in.
