MEET THE ARTIST

My art begins with original photography. From there I create a narrative using mixed media. My substrates can be a board or a form I have created with clay. Using encaustic medium, I bring all the layers of the story together. My mixed media pieces can include original silk screens, oil sticks, gesso, found object, and any other medium I may be exploring at the time. Art is a journey that incorporates your story, your surroundings, experiences and people in your life. My passion as an artist and educator is to put that life out into the world and hope others find meaning and a shared connection with my pieces.
