I believe that creativity is at the core of my being. My mind is constantly abuzz with new ideas and inspirations, and the drive to create is as essential to me as fresh air and sunshine. I credit my love of art to my upbringing in a family of creative people, where self-expression was encouraged from a young age. Over the years, I've explored many artistic endeavors, from restoring architecture to sculpting wax and carving wood. Through it all, I've been driven by a desire to create something beautiful and meaningful. I've been fortunate to learn from some truly amazing teachers. Perhaps the most important thing they taught me is that the best creations come from exploring your own unique vision. So, what makes me a great creator? It's a combination of experience, passion, and a lifelong commitment to the power of art to capture the essence of our world and communicate it in new and exciting ways.
About the Demonstration
Do you ever find yourself getting lost in a painting, as though you could step right into it? In this demo, I'll show you a simple three step process that creates the sense of depth that draws viewers into a painting. I'll demonstrate how to use color contrast to capture mood and lighting, create the illusion of near and far and pick a focal point capturing light and placing shadow. For those who love to paint, you'll leave this demo with new inspiration and ideas for your own projects. And for those who simply enjoy admiring beautiful artwork, you'll gain a deeper appreciation for the techniques used to create the illusion of depth. Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn from a professional and watch a painting come to life right before your eyes!
