Jury - 2023 CHESTER COUNTY STUDIO TOUR

Being outdoors, feeling the wind, smelling the flowers, passing by the woods, watching the movement of sunlight as it hits all of these sights and capturing it on the canvas is precious to me. My subjects are usually flowers, natural landscapes, and people. Flowers are particularly special to me. I use oils and acrylics as my medium to paint. I strive to bring depth into my paintings. It helps people to see the wholeness of the depicted scene as if it’s three dimensional. Bringing in the effect of light gives a dramatic feel to the paintings.
I use photographs that I had taken during my outdoor ventures for my paintings as reference. I have been painting pleinair in impressionistic style and now my current works are in realistic style.
