Jury - 2023 CHESTER COUNTY STUDIO TOUR

I approach my mixed media painting with the same curiosity I'd have for any new place. Because I use various materials, their interaction is always a bit of a surprise, completely hijacking my attention. Sifting through piles of ordinary moments I look for the peculiar, aiming to bring something uncommon to life in rich layers of color and texture; synthesizing observation and obsession. The resulting narrative imagery mixes with abstraction to pull playful stories in many directions.
