Landon received his B.F.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he focused on color theory and layering techniques. As a painter, he was drawn to the surfaces that could be created through an understanding of these ideas. He has always been captivated by animal and plant life and the ecosystems they inhabit. The process of planning an artwork and manipulating paint through playful applications like brushing, scraping, and splashing is an empowering act that allows him to both explore and express the human connection to the natural world.
