Jury - 2023 CHESTER COUNTY STUDIO TOUR

I base my process on the plein-air tradition in order to respond directly to the landscape. It is important that my work reflect these ovservations of nature with the evidence of my hand apparent.

The application of my materials, whether oil pint, pastel, or charcoal, has as much meaning for me as my subject matter. Returning to a site many times allows an exploration of the same motif unifying my processes and thus providing a continuum.

The same location is always a new place.
