My paintings capture the essential spirit of peace that you see when you close your eyes and recall that place that brings you calm. I might paint a boat gliding on the water, or a group of trees in a field, or a farm in midday heat, but what I'm really painting is a sliver of that place in your mind that you recall when you close your eyes and bring to mind the thoughts of peace and stillness.

I paint mainly in oils on canvas or board.
