For as long as I can remember, creating art was everything to me. In the last decade, I transitioned from my early roots of pencils, pastels, markers, and airbrush, and finally started painting. And now, in the past few years, my new passion has been woodworking and using a Lichtenberg device. This is the technique of using dangerously high voltage (2500-15000V), along with an electrolyte solution, to allow nature itself to burn fractal patterns into the wood. Sometimes I may choose to simply do a stain and fine finish, in order to bring out the natural chatoyance of the different varieties of wood. Other times I use epoxy and rare earth minerals to accent the fractals. My favorite technique, however, allows me to combine my roots in visual arts, with my new passion for woodworking and Lichtenberg. I incorporate the fractals by using acrylics, in order to create either dreamy natural landscapes, or magical, visionary worlds. I hope my art inspires all who see it, to remember the true love, and childhood amazement we all once had, in this, sometimes overwhelming experience, we call life.
