Ken spent four years in Papua New Guinea teaching vocational arts, developing a ceramics studio using hand dug local clays and developing his unique sensibilities of ceramic art. His travels throughout Central and South America, Asia and the Pacific have facilitated his study and collecting of indigenous craft and primitive art which has influenced his work. Ken specializes in handcrafted, limited edition, functional art pottery designed to be used yet decorative for display. Stoneware and porcelain clays are high-fired for a true vitreous ring. His recent work includes sculpture and environmental work.
