When I work in clay, I try to act intuitively. I draw through a personal lens, relying on gestural lines to generate the overall sentiment. Each form and image represents the sum of my experiences; memories, thoughts, or pages torn from my sketchbook make their way into my work.
I studied Studio Fine Art at Juniata College, earning a BA in 2010, and then served as the Studio Technician and Artist in Residence from 2011-2013. Following Juniata, I became studio assistant at the Sugar Maples Center for Creative Arts, and completed a residency at the Cub Creek Foundation. I am presently the Ceramics Studio Supervisor at Historic Yellow Springs where I continue my studio practice.
