LET'S VOTE!

The Southern Pennsylvania landscape evokes the experience of communing with nature and inspires my art practice. The vastness of the space, the gentleness of the rolling hills, the humility of the domesticated plots of land are striking. In these abstract landscape paintings, a patchwork of shapes and colors unfold in the layered applications of paint. Shapes fit together in a configuration of completion and interest. Color combinations expand as verdant planes and open spaces invite the viewer to rest and enjoy the quality of wholeness and stability. When the final painting emerges, it is an ode about the landscape, a hand stitched idea that represents home.
