Art has always been an important aspect of my life ever since childhood when painting, pastel, and charcoal drawing was introduced to me by my mother. Once in medical school, residency, and working as a family physician, there just wasn't time to draw anymore, so I began using my camera as a means to fulfill my artistry. With the help of Ed Heaton, a nationally known photographer, who I mentored with over a period of 15 years, I was able to become and accomplished landscape and macro photographer.
Photography has had positive influence on how I perceive my surroundings. It allows me to be more acutely aware light , color, and composition.
