Nancy Brockmon

After my husband died, I started painting again, primarily in acrylics and pastels. Mostly inspired by our travels in Maine, I have concentrated on recreating memories of the scenic coastline and ever-changing sea. In addition, I have painted local scenes in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey. Occasionally, I will paint critters such as birds and animals. My work is grounded by the inspiration I find in the textures, colors and shapes found in nature. Rocks, tree bark, leaves and water, in their many incarnations fire up the synapses in my brain. Memories flood in and I find myself with my paintbrush in hand.
