Claire Rosen
Photography
Claire Rosen is an award-winning artist whose imaginative photography explores the intersection of art, history, and nature, often featuring live animals in fantastical settings. Her lifelong love of all creatures has led Claire to a distinctive approach that integrates animals into her creative process — engaging viewers to reflect more deeply on our responsibility to the natural world.
Early in her career, she was twice named to Forbes’ “Best 30 under 30” list for Art & Design. Her work has been featured in Architectural Digest, National Geographic, Smithsonian Magazine, PhotoVogue, NPR, The Guardian, The Observer, and The Washington Post.
She is a published author and public speaker. Her educational book, IMAGINARIUM: The Process Behind the Pictures, offers insight into her creative practice and presents tools for the artistic process. Her monograph, Birds of a Feather, features portraits of live birds set against opulent, historically inspired backdrops, weaving a layered narrative that connects ornithology, art history, and ethical questions surrounding human-animal relationships. Claire is the creative director of Warwick Furnace Farm, where she lives and runs her studio, gallery, and an artist residency program.
