Lee Pohlsander’s background in Advertising and Graphic Designer, gave her strong skills in composition, color, communication, and messaging. Between design work and raising a family, Lee continued to work on personal projects, taking classes in sculpture, paper making, portraiture, and printmaking, and participating in group shows. In Lee’s fine art work, she enjoys exploring and experimenting and creating connections, which energizes Lee to create abstract paintings and mixed media works. She has participated in multiple Open Studio Tours and group shows in Southeastern Pennsylvania, winning second place in the annual Pottstown Artist Guild show in 2018. In September - December 2021, she had a solo show “The Connection To Ladders” at The Gallery at Creative Light Factory. This show of works inspired by Samuel Beckett’s play “Endgame” included an artist’s talk and a staged reading of the play. Lee has been profiled in two issues of Artists of PXV and interviewed for County Lines magazine. Most recently, Lee’s work was featured in the show “Abstract PXV” at Art Work Gallery in Phoenixville.
