MEET THE ARTIST

I create drypoint etchings using a point scribe to etch my original designs by hand into plexiglas. Depending on the overall size and detail, a single plate may take anywhere from weeks to months to complete. The finished etchings are then printed in limited edition quantities using a manual, gear-driven printing press from my home studio based outside Phoenixville, PA.
I find most inspiration within organic patterns in nature - from the scales of a snake to the mirrored symmetry of a beetle - and enjoy using bold lines to starkly juxtapose against soft textures.
My work honors the rich history of traditional printmaking, blending its vintage nostalgia with more modern techniques and colors to create something original & new. While the original plate design never changes, all prints contain their own set of unique differences - whether it’s the ink used, the paper it’s printed on, or a 'beautiful mistake' that occurs during the printing process - no one print is ever the same. Each edition is truly a one-of-a-kind piece of art.
