MEET THE ARTIST

Artistic expression completes me as a person and allows me to share my view of what matters in our world. A fan of realism, I work mostly in acrylic or pastel, although sometimes move into or combine with other media. My work tends to emphasize how contrasting light and shadow define a subject and how they can create a mood. As a long-time resident of Chester County, Pennsylvania, my focus is often on local sites, sometimes including animals in their natural surroundings, although I also find subjects while traveling in the US and abroad. I am a member of the Delaware County Art League and the Chester County Art Association, exhibiting in their group shows and in other regional and national exhibitions.
