I have been a working, professional artist for over 40 years. I am a recently retired professor with decades of teaching students all types of printmaking techniques, graphic design, and now encaustic and fine art. I love to share what I know with others and to help students develop further in their artistic endeavors.
About the Demonstration
If you like collage or piece-making of any sort, you will love the technique I have developed using hot encaustic paint. Starting with encaustic paint on a heated palette, pieces are created by drawing with blocks of paint onto the surface, then lifting them off to cool. After a collection of pieces has been painted and cooled, the collage fun begins as colorful paint is transferred and layered onto fine art paper.
