When you are out and about, do you find yourself drawn to the textures around you? Isn't it hard to obey that sign that says, "Do not touch" when you are surrounded by intriguing surfaces? My art is all about the visual and tactile appeal of texture, and my sculpting process allows me to dive hands-first into the clay while creating my own miniature lands of discovery. As a life-long educator, I am thrilled to guide you through the experience and hope you love it as much as I do.
About the Demonstration
Kelly will explain and demonstrate how she repurposes paper and cardboard, transforming them in the process of papier mache clay and creating unique enduring sculptures. Visitors have the choice of simply observing the demonstration or diving into the tactile experience hands-first! Your will receive your own wad of paper clay to knead, along with the supplies and guidance to sculpt your own take-home treasure.
