About the Demonstration
Using the ancient Japanese tradition of Neriagi, I'll demonstrate how I blend colored porcelain in preparation for the wheel. Watch as I throw several pieces, revealing how color moves serendipitously to create organic patterns unique to each form. Following the wheel demonstration, I'll show how carving a pre-thrown Neriagi piece further accentuates the natural patterns in the clay. Join me as I share my techniques and explore how I bring the beauty of the natural world to life through handcrafted colored porcelain.
