County Studio Tours are an established and anticipated annual event, attended by people you want to reach. Our marketing campaign, combined with other artists’ network of collectors, puts clients at your studio doorstep. We invite local studios and guest artists to be a part of this experience where you can expand your client base with patrons and in turn sell your art.

GENERAL RULES -

Chester County:

Exhibit Hours are Saturday, May 16, 2020 from 10AM to 6PM and Sunday May 17, 2020 from 11AM to 5PM. No rain dates.

Montgomery County:

Exhibit Hours are Saturday, June 13, 2020 from 10AM to 6PM and Sunday June 14, 2020 from 11AM to 5PM. No rain dates.

Delaware County:

Exhibit Hours are Saturday, September 28,  2019 from 10AM to 6PM and Sunday September 29, 2019 from 11AM to 5PM. No rain dates.

 

EVENT FEES:

Application Fee: $30.00 (non-refundable)

Host Studio: $400 (Montgomery, Delaware County)  
                        $425 (Chester County) (deposited after acceptance notification date) 
Guest Artist: $250 (Montgomery, Bucks, Delaware
 County) 
                        $275 (Chester County) (deposited after acceptance notification date) 


Refunds:
50% Show Fee refund will be issued to ACCEPTED ARTISTS who cancel and notify the County Studio Tour AT LEAST 30 days after acceptance (received in writing). No refunds after that date.

No refunds will be made for any act of God, local authority or weather-related cancellations of the event.

The County Studio Tour reserves the right to reject any work it considers unsuitable. No refund will be given if artist is ejected from the event for violation of rules.

 

HOST STUDIO:

As a Host Studio you may exhibit up to four guest artists. Your guest artists must apply and be accepted by the juror. For every guest artist that participates at your studio you will receive $75 to help with maintenance costs. (Due to an increase in bank fees, we will no longer be issuing $100 per guest artist)
 

CATALOGUE: Each studio is allotted 100 full-color catalogues for distribution at your studio. There will be an additional amount of full-color catalogues printed and distributed at local businesses throughout the county. Each studio will be represented by a full page that includes their artwork, name, medium, email and web site. If the studio hosts guest artists, they will also be listed on this page. Your host studio will also be listed on the Studio Tour Map.
 

WEB PRESENCE: Each studio will be listed on the web site as a studio and as an artist. Each studio will be represented by a web page that includes their artwork, name, medium, email and web site. Your studio will also be welcomed and announced on our Facebook fanpage.
 

SIGNAGE & BANNER: Each studio will be assigned 1- 3'x8' CST banner announcing their participation in this year's event. The studio will also be assigned 12 CST directional signs to assist visitors. Many visitors come from around and outside your County. Signs should be displayed far enough away from the studio to attract passing attention and guide visitors directly to your studio. Please don't post signs on city property, and get permission of property owners to place signs on private property. Signs and banners will only be used during the Open Studio Tour event and returned to CST.
 

COUNTY COLLECTORS: Participating artists will be provided a 6" x 6" board and frame to create an original piece of art and sell it for $75. This piece will be heavily advertised and attract early collectors to your studio Saturday morning. View previous County Collectors.
 

COUNTY STUDIO TOUR LOGO: Participating artist have the right to use the County Studio Tour logo, displayed at their studios and mention themselves as participants at exhibits and in personal promotion for the participating year.

You will need 3 images of your work and 1 image of your studio or booth,

File Format: Save all images as BASELINE Standard JPEG.
Do not save as a Progressive JPEG.
File Size: 300 dpi, dimensions: 1920 pixels x 1920 pixels
JPEGs must be under 3.0 MB. Save images in an RGB color space, preferably sRGB.
Square Image example: 1920 pixels by 1920 pixels

Quality images are a must. We encourage you to submit images that have been professionally photographed.

HANDICAPPED STUDIO REQUIREMENTS

A studio will be marked with the handicap logo if it meets the following requirements.
The studio is wheelchair accessible.
The studio is large enough to accommodate a wheelchair.
Parking is available for a van.
Service dogs welcome.

 

HOW CAN I SHOW FOR $25?

This unique two-day event creates many opportunities for the exhibiting artists. Besides making sales on your artwork during the studio tour, there are many income opportunities available before the event takes place. 

If you have a studio in the County you are applying for, you may invite up to four artists to show at your event. Once your guest artists are juried in and have paid the $250 exhibition fee you will receive $75 for every artist that exhibits with you. Find four artists to share your studio and you receive $300! Create a County Collector that sells, you receive $75. That covers $375 of your host studio fee!

 

(We provide you with a 6" x 6" panel and frame to create whatever you would like and offer it for sale at $75. This is our very successful County Collector Program.)
