Michael Fleck
Photography
As an artist who chooses to portray everything from lively animals to decrepit buildings, there is a struggle to find a cohesive thread by which a show can be strung together. In the case of this overarching body of work, there is a thematic cohesion on the point of portraying permanence shrouded by change. This thematic aspect of the works can be found across any subject matter, from animals in a landscape shaped by hundreds of years of natural forces, to rust covered metal in an abandoned building. Although each photograph captures a unique and passing moment in time, the choice of media gives it a more permanent place in time.
Michael is a local photographer living in Downingtown, Pa. and is a regular host studio on the Chester County Studio Tour.
