I have always loved to create art but due to my profession as a physician I found it difficult to manage enough time to draw and paint which I did in my younger years. Photography allowed me to express myself artistically in a time efficient way. It has made me so much more aware of my surroundings and how light effects composition, mood and atmosphere in a photo. I mentored with nationally known photographer Ed Heaton and his son Zach. Ed’s motto is “learning to capture light will make extraordinary images from ordinary subjects” which what I attempt to do in my photography. I have shot all types of photography but my main love is landscapes, nature, macros, the intricacies of architecture and travel photography.
