My landscapes are gentle reminders to take time for yourself. Glowing light, rich color and texture invite you into places where you can pause, take a deep breath and savor the moment. As someone who has struggled maintaining balance in my life, I find that nature is the best medicine. When I am outside, I breathe the air, feel the sun and am replenished. My paintings recapture the feelings of harmony and peace that I felt outside.
Favorite places of inspiration include the Eastern Shore of Maryland, the New Jersey Shore, the Brandywine River Valley, Hudson, New York and Maine or anyplace that can be seen from my kayak or while hiking
Pastel is my medium and I have been working with it for over 30 years. I love its immediacy, and vibrant color.
I paint at my studio, Aston Mills Arts, outside of Philadelphia and am open by appointment throughout the year
