Stacie Leigh Bumgarner creates fine art, illustrations, and other original handcrafted works using a range of media and techniques – including charcoal & pastels, oil painting, watercolor, printmaking, textiles, glass, metal, and ceramics. Steeped in the biological sciences, philosophy and art, Stacie’s educational background and experience doing laboratory research and teaching others suffuse the nature of her work. Her pieces explore themes of process, contemplation, and discovery. Her imagery often summons storytelling, calling the viewer to enter her drawn world and imagine a narrative, sometimes playful and other times more deeply introspective.
