I am a West Chester artist with a studio at Ginkgo Arts.  I am drawn to expressing natural light and unstaged, subtle beauty in the ordinary moment.  Having grown up in Japan, the wabi-sabi aesthetic does often influence the way I approach Chester County scenery I paint, along with my Quaker-like spirituality.  My works have been recognized nationally in Plein Air Salon contests, Oil Painters of America exhibitions, National Oil Acrylic Painters’ Society exhibitions,etc. Please visit my website emishigeno.art for more info.
