MEET THE ARTIST

I am a Chester County, Pennsylvania, artist working in Watercolor and Oils. As a child I lived in a state park in the Finger Lakes area of up-state New York surrounded by trees, lakes, waterfalls, flowers and wildlife. As a result, I have always been fascinated by the natural world around me. Most of my paintings reflect this early influence.

I didn’t start to dabble in art though, until I was in my 50s. I found it a great antidote to working with numbers all day in my job! Now I find time spent in my studio to be very meditative. I often lose complete track of time.

Though I began painting in watercolor, I more recently started working in oils as well. I am mostly self-taught but have taken classes with a variety of local artists: Sarah Yeoman, Alice Meyer Wallace, Deena Ball for watercolor and Randall Graham for oil painting. I have exhibited in numerous juried shows in the area.
