MEET THE ARTIST

Kaitlyn E. Lickfield is an oil and acrylic painter and children’s book illustrator whose work celebrates storytelling, whimsy, and light. Working from her studio in Chester County, Kaitlyn creates vibrant paintings that blur the line between fine art and illustration, inviting viewers into worlds filled with color, movement, and quiet magic.

Influenced by classic storybooks, nature walks, and the small, tender moments of everyday life, her paintings often feature expressive characters, glowing skies, and layered textures. Kaitlyn is especially drawn to scenes that feel like a paused story—just before something wonderful happens.

In addition to her studio practice, Kaitlyn illustrates children’s books, bringing imaginative narratives to life through playful compositions and rich, painterly detail. This cross-pollination between page and canvas gives her work a strong sense of narrative and emotion, whether the piece hangs on a wall or lives in a child’s hands.

During the 2026 Chester County Studio Tour, visitors to Kaitlyn’s studio will be able to see original paintings, works-in-progress, and illustration pieces, as well as learn more about her creative process from sketch to finished artwork.
