MEET THE ARTIST

Jill received her BFA from The University of the Arts in 2001 and began her career as a digital collage illustrator and graphic designer. Eventually shifting her focus to abstract art, Jill’s colorful work has sold at many shows across the region and to online collectors around the country. She has received several awards for her work, including 1st place in mixed media at the 2024 Lititz Outdoor Fine Art Show.

Jill’s abstracts are created by building layers of acrylics, collage and drawing media. She often sands between layers to reveal hidden textures and shapes. Working out the colors and composition directly on the canvas allows her to build up a rich history and depth that could not be achieved with a preconceived plan. Often inspired by nature, each piece invites the viewer to contemplate their own connection to an imaginary landscape.
