MEET THE ARTIST

My paintings range from colorful, evocative abstracts to stunning florals, intimate landscapes and soulful portraits played out on silk and in other mediums.

I work intuitively, departing from a visual reference or starting with a gesture that I see in my mind. I never know how these beginnings will end. I make marks and use colors that “feel” right. It is a dance, a relationship, that the painting and I are developing together, and in the process, I release or realize some hidden emotion.

I know that the painting is near completion when it suggests a title, a poem or a story, messages that often touch people in ways that I could not have imagined. I am profoundly honored to do this work, to have this impact. And I am truly grateful to have opportunities to show it, and share it, with you.
