MEET THE ARTIST

West Chester artist Kaity Lacy, works in capturing the souls of her subjects through thoughtful observation, attention to detail & vibrant color. Each animal is celebrated and their connection to their people, often animal rescuers, highlighted.

You are invited into the world of animals & also the non-profit animal rescues she partners with; each commission resulting in a donation, helping animals in need. Many of her works raffled off at fundraisers, helping with veterinary expenses.

Her work often captures those that have left their earthly bodies but whose spirit & impact during their years with us, is still treasured. Animals have an ability to hold simplicity in their communication of love & connection to us. They have thoughtful ways in just being; their gratitude expressed through postures unique to them & idiosyncrasies that “cat or dog people” find hard to miss.

Her work extends to an appreciation of the essence of wild creatures. Paintings capturing details of colors and patterns that are true to life. Their identities preserved through acrylics, watercolors, inks and more, while the scenes also hint to a more whimsical narrative. Kaity’s paintings are genuine, warm and inviting; telling stories of animals and their advocates by capturing her subjects and their stories with love and admiration.
