DAVID GERBSTADT BIO
Berwyn resident David Gerbstadt is a 2 and 3D artist using found and reclaimed objects. Most recently, he has begun making art based in abstract sculptures and typewriter works.
David has been known since 1994 for leaving his art outside for the taking. He has left almost 10,000 works worldwide. He is also known for painting yard signs that are made from discarded wood and reclaimed election sign wire. These signs are all over the US.
Growing up, David was always building something, whether inside or outside. David graduated from Millersville University with a BA in Art. His dyslexia places him into a world that allows him to cope with society by creating his art, and it heals the trauma he experienced from a serious bicycle accident.
