Ruth Easterbrook
Ceramics
I make a variety of pottery forms using both throwing and hand-building techniques. Each piece is made with careful consideration of form and function.
The surface is done with a labor-intensive mapping and incising of different cone 6 glazes, all my work is fired in an electric kiln. The finished surface has a richness and complexity that is a pleasure to see and engage with. I use floral motifs that reference specific wildflowers and floral but I also use my artistic license to create my botanical designs.
