MEET THE ARTIST

Inspired by my adventures outdoors with my darling daughter, Hilary, and my four-legged first born, Slip, my work reflects a deep connection to the natural world. An upbringing in a creatively encouraging home and a degree in Industrial Design, I was introduced to clay at Historic Yellow Springs, in Chester Springs PA and felt an instant connection. My work, characterized by surface treatments, is brought to life through the wood firing process, where the interplay of flame, ash, and sometimes salt adds a unique, spontaneous quality to each piece. I create my pottery in my home studio in Malvern, PA, along the circle and surrounded by woods. My love for clay, the clay community, and the discovery process of each firing continues to grow with each creation.
